Good church guide

I just read an article about the variety of Christmas services on offer at UK churches. The writer points out that there's no such thing as a 'good church guide' and I think that it would be a good idea to create one.

There are guides that help you to find churches that are close to you and there are directories (where churches can enter information about themselves) but for this kind of thing, you need outside parties to rate the church for you. The Ship of Fools Mystery Worshipper reports are the closest thing I can think of but even then if the reviewer likes smells and bells but visits a happy clappy church it's unlikely to get a positive review. What is needed is something more like a restaurant or hotel review site where all the info you need is available and there's a space for users to give star ratings and reviews.

It's just an idea ...

I wonder how long it would take to make ...

I wonder if there are any joomla addons that would do the star ratings bit ...

Just wondering :)

Bad church guide ... could be interesting ...

Welcome to St Michaels. As you enter the church you'll notice the lovely stained glass window depicting Noah getting blind drunk and naked after hitting dry land. Try to arrive on a wednesday evening to catch Sister Agatha's pole dancing class in the church hall....
